Soundscapes

In this Y1 project, students delve into the world of digital audio, including capture and the hardware required (microphones, interfaces etc.) as well as simple editing of sound in a Digital Audio Workstation. The soundscapes created involve a range of techniques including field recording, studio recording and foley and the basic ideas behind sound design are explored. Cityscapes, beaches, horror soundtracks and daily commutes were all brought to life across submissions this year.
